National Park Passports

SAMSUNG CSCI hope you know about this wonderful program that exists in our National Parks Service (NPS). The Passport To Your National Parks® program, provides information and encourages visitation to all of America’s national parks. It includes a passport book that lists all national parks in the United States and U.S. territories, and provides space for ‘cancellation’ stamps which can be found in almost every national park in the system. The passport book is under $10 and can last you a lifetime and getting it stamped at every NPS location is free. It is so fun to get the passport stamped and review your back on occassion to look back at all the beauitful places you have been. How fun would it be to start this with your kids and every summer visit one National Park and  get your passport stamped? They would love this memory, I’m sure. These enchanting “freebies” are what makes our nation’s National Parks a treasure. Every year the NPS produces a set of adhesive-backed stamps is produced annually, which features one park from each of the nine geographic regions of the program and one national stamp. The photos used on the stamps are taken by park employees and volunteers and are selected through an annual photo contest.
